Maybe you've sold luxury retail, flooring, windows, or furniture, learning to translate a homeowner's vision into a decision they feel great about. We're a custom closet and home storage organization company growing in the Chicago market, and we're looking for our next Sales & Design Consultant: someone who is empathetic and has a strong sales foundation to take our proven process and make it their own.
What This Role Actually Looks Like
You'll run in-home design consultations, meeting homeowners where they live, listening to how they want their space to feel, and designing a custom solution on the spot using our design software (we train you on this). It's part design, part relationship sales, and 100% focused on delivering a space and experience that they’ll love.
This isn't a cold calling. It's not door knocking. It's not retail foot traffic. Every appointment is scheduled, qualified, and ready for someone who can walk in with an eye for detail, earn trust quickly, and close with confidence.
A typical week looks like:
• Running in-home consultations with homeowners across Chicago Northside and North suburbs
• Designing solutions in our software during appointments so clients see it come to life in real time
• Following up, closing, and coordinating handoffs to our installation team
• Sharing what’s working and what isn’t with ownership because your input shapes the process
• Collaborate with the installation team to ensure smooth project handoffs

Where We’re Looking for You
We recruit from beyond the closet design world on purpose. The skills that make someone great here aren't industry specific. You may be a strong fit if you're coming from:
• Bridal or luxury retail - where guiding emotional, high-stakes purchases is second nature
• Hospitality - restaurants, hotels, events, where you built the instinct to read people and deliver experiences
• Automotive rental management (Enterprise, Hertz, Avis) - where you learned to sell on value and manage client relationships under pressure
• Flooring, windows, cabinetry, or home furnishings sales - where in-home or showroom consultative selling is already in your DNA
• Any client-facing role where you consistently finished in the top of your peer group
You’re Likely the Right Fit If You…
• Have 2+ years of consultative or relationship-based sales experience
• Are comfortable in people’s homes and skilled at building trust quickly
• Pick up new software confidently: design tools, CRMs, whatever the job needs
• Want to build something, not just work a territory but be part of something
• Hold a valid driver’s license and have reliable transportation (required for in-home visits)

Compensation: $75,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
