St. Martin’s Lutheran School is seeking a passionate, mission-aligned PK4 Assistant Teacher to join our dedicated faculty for the 2026–2027 school year. About the Role:
Join St Martins Evangelical Lutheran School as an Early Childhood Assistant Teacher for our half-day PK4 program! This exciting opportunity allows you to nurture young minds in a supportive and faith-based environment.
The PK4 Teacher will also work during the Extended Day program for our PK students from 12-3pm with an opportunity to earn more as a part-time after-care employee from 3-6pm.

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the lead teacher in implementing engaging lesson plans and activities.
- Assist in creating a safe and welcoming classroom environment for all students.
- Encourage social, emotional, and cognitive development through play-based learning.
- Monitor and document student progress and behavior.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians about student needs and achievements.
- Help maintain classroom organization and cleanliness.
- Participate in staff meetings and professional development opportunities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere for all children.
- Embrace feedback, coaching, and collaboration as part of our shared work to grow a school of excellence
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; degree in Early Childhood Education preferred.
- Experience working with preschool-aged children in an educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team of educators.
- Passion for early childhood education and child development.
- First Aid and CPR certification preferred or willingness to obtain.
- Background check clearance required.
- Willingness to reflect, adapt, and continuously improve practice in pursuit of excellence
- Passion for Christian education and belief in teaching as both ministry and mission
- Positive attitude and a nurturing demeanor.

Compensation: $26,000.00 per year
