Outpatient Behavioral Health Setting
Position Summary
Resolution Health and Wellness Center is seeking a dedicated Substance Abuse Counselor to support individuals navigating substance use disorders. You will play a key role in helping patients achieve recovery through evidence-based counseling, treatment planning, and ongoing support.
This role is ideal for someone who is empathetic, motivated, and committed to long-term patient success.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a structured caseload of patients
- Conduct clinical assessments to identify contributing factors
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
- Provide counseling, relapse prevention, and recovery support
- Collaborate with patients and families to promote sustainable outcomes
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation
- Coordinate care with internal teams and external providers
Qualifications
- Certification by the Maryland Board of Professional Counselors and Therapists in one of the following:
- CAC-AD
- CSC-AD
- LG-ADC
- ADT
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Compassionate, patient-centered approach
- Experience in substance use treatment preferred
