Data Governance and MDM Specialist

Position Overview
Seeking a technical Data Governance & MDM Specialist to support enterprise data governance and mastered data capabilities. This role partners with business stakeholders, data architects, and engineering teams to ensure high-quality, trusted data across a lakehouse environment and downstream platforms like Salesforce.
Focus areas include data quality, automation, and MDM processes such as concordance and survivorship.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain matching, concordance, and survivorship processes
- Develop data quality rules, monitoring, and dashboards
- Perform SQL analysis and Python-based automation/validation
- Manage data issues, track resolution, and support governance workflows
- Partner with engineering teams (e.g., Databricks) and business stakeholders
- Maintain governance documentation, standards, and metrics
- Support CRM data standards and validation processes
Required Qualifications
- 3–6 years in Data Governance, MDM, or data-focused roles
- Strong SQL (analysis, validation, data quality testing)
- Strong Python (automation, data processing, validation)
- Understanding of data governance, stewardship, and quality frameworks
- Experience with modern data platforms (e.g., Databricks preferred)
Preferred
- Experience with entity matching, concordance, survivorship, or MDM
- Exposure to CRM tools such as Salesforce or DealCloud
- Financial services background (IB, equities, wealth management)
Soft Skills
- Strong communication (business + technical)
- Detail-oriented, organized, proactive
Flexible work from home options available.
Compensation: $60.00 - $80.00 per hour
