Business Architect

Summary: Business Architect for our Customer Electric Outage Experience team with a focus on defining technology plan, driving deep into quantitative data with curiosity to understand trends and identify levers to increase customer experience, estimating implementation costs, and supporting change teams by describing the technology implementation to develop processes, communications and job-aids.
Key Activities: With a focus on the customer experience for unplanned and planned electric outages:
• Creates architectural vision that is aligned with product vision.
• Evolves technical vision to incorporate new technologies.
• Challenges current/future technical needs and works towards enterprise standardization and standardization across customer channels
• Makes tradeoffs among tech options to balance risk (execution, support, vendor, TCO).
• Quickly assesses and moves to most viable alternatives.
• Assess quantitative scores from customers and operational results from systems and field execution to identify opportunities to increase customer experience
Required Skills/Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems or related field of study, or equivalent experience
• 5 years of related work experience
• Excellent communication (oral and written) and collaboration skills.
• Ability to build strong relationships with and influence at the Director level of leadership across PG&E.
• Ability to build/ further community & elevate team performance.
• Execution ability, ownership, and decisiveness.
• Has excellent technical knowledge and expertise for products supported.
• Excellent ability and self-driven curiosity to analyze quantitative data and identify statistically relevant insights.
• 5 years of experience working in an Agile environment with understanding of Agile values and principals
• Knowledge of relevant technology, including but not limited to Advanced Distribution Management System (ADMS), Electric Distribution Outage Management Systems (OMS), Data & Analytics Platforms (e.g. Palantir Foundry), Middleware (e.g. Mulesoft), voice/text/e-mail notification platforms, and data streaming technology (e.g. Apache Kafka, Flink, etc.)
• Knowledge of business processes , including but not limited to planned and unplanned electric outages.
