Under the direction of the Manager/Supervisor/Lead Person, the Inventory Control associate monitors inventory levels to ensure accuracy and proper stock rotation. Also, responsible for adhering to the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and/or Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) that are in effect assuring the quality and quantity of product produced.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
The Inventory Control Specialist reports directly to the Warehouse Supervisor with a dotted line to the CFO.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBIITIES:
The following responsibilities would characterize the requirements of this position. Must possess the skills necessary to perform the majority of the listed functions:
1. Be familiar with company policies (such as SOPs) to complete all assignments
2. Count designated product daily
3. Research inventory discrepancies and correct adjustments
4. Track and report non-conforming product
5. Resolve inventory problems in a timely manner
6. Follow GMP and SOPs for the department
7. Maintain Inventory Accuracy Metrics and associated reports for management
8. Shipping and Receiving of merchandise
9. Verification of received items against purchase orders and packing list or invoice
10. Inspect condition of merchandise received
11. Prepare shipment and shipping documents
12. Enter data for quantities of parts issued and transferred between locations, inventory and cycle count adjustments, into the inventory management database
13. Receive and issue finished goods into the inventory management database
14. Troubleshoot quantity discrepancies with manufacturing and quality team
15. Record and monitor all items shelf-life exportation and notify appropriate personnel when material has expired
16. Prepare monthly reports for cycle count and pick-lists count for monthly highlights
17. Prepare and participate in yearly physical inventory
18. Perform any other related duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
1. Bachelor’s preferred; some college work required
2. Experience in an inventory control field / warehouse preferred
3. Strong written and verbal communication skills, Bilingual Mandarin strongly preferred
4. Must be detail oriented
5. Proficient in data entry with minimal errors
6. Excellent computer skills
7. Working knowledge of ERP or other inventory control software a plus
8. Bilingual Mandarin preferred
