About the Role
We’re hiring a Senior Designer / Product Development Manager to own the end-to-end creation of our private label product—from concept to final production.
This is a builder role. You won’t just design—you’ll be responsible for executing, refining, and delivering high-quality product at scale. You’ll work closely with ownership to develop product that aligns with our customer, brand, and growth goals.

Key Responsibilities
Design & Product Creation
- Design seasonal collections with a strong emphasis on denim (fits, washes, silhouettes)
- Translate trend insights and customer data into commercially successful product
- Develop detailed tech packs with all specifications (measurements, materials, trims, construction)
Product Development & Execution
- Own the full sampling process—from initial concept through final approval
- Lead fit sessions, make adjustments, and ensure consistency across styles
- Manage communication with domestic and overseas manufacturers
- Source fabrics, trims, and washes aligned with brand positioning and margin goals
Production & Quality
- Ensure product meets quality standards, fit expectations, and timelines
- Troubleshoot production issues and proactively solve for delays or inconsistencies
- Maintain clear timelines and calendars for development and launches
Strategy & Collaboration
- Partner with ownership on product strategy and assortment planning
- Help define and evolve Wild Oak’s private label identity
- Collaborate with marketing and merchandising teams on product launches
What We’re Looking For
- 5–10+ years experience in fashion design and/or product development
- Strong background in denim (required) — fits, fabrics, washes, and construction
- Proven ability to take a product from concept → tech pack → sample → production
- Experience working directly with overseas factories and vendors
- Deep understanding of fit, grading, and garment construction
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple styles and timelines
- Entrepreneurial mindset — comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment
Bonus Points
- Experience building or launching a private label brand
- Existing relationships with denim manufacturers or fabric mills
- Familiarity with costing, margin targets, and production scaling

This is a remote position.
Compensation: $120,000.00 - $160,000.00 per year
