McKenney Home Care is a family-owned, private-duty home care agency serving Sarasota and Charlotte County. We are seeking skilled, dependable LPNs and RNs who are confident working independently and committed to providing high-quality care in the home.
This role is ideal for nurses looking for flexibility while still maintaining meaningful client relationships.
Schedule & Availability
PRN scheduling based on client needs, with opportunities for:
- Day shifts
- Evening shifts
- Overnight shifts
- Weekends
Flexible scheduling available with the potential for consistent case assignments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care in the client’s home in accordance with the plan of care
- Monitor changes in patient condition
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered
- Support clients with chronic conditions and post-hospital care
- Educate clients and family members on care needs and safety
- Collaborate with physicians and the care team
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in WellSky app
- Communicate proactively with the office regarding patient status or concerns
Qualifications
- Active Florida LPN or RN license in good standing
- Home care experience preferred but not required
- Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently in a home setting
- Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance
- Current hands-on CPR certification (or willingness to complete)
- TB test (PPD or lab work within 6 months) or chest X-ray within 5 years (or willingness to obtain)
- Level 2 AHCA background screening (or willingness to complete) https://info.flclearinghouse.com
- Strong communication skills, professionalism, and reliability
