Position Overview
We are seeking an Account Manager (Inside Sales) to take ownership of an existing book of business while actively driving new sales opportunities. This role is ideal for someone who is customer-focused but also motivated to grow revenue, expand relationships, and identify new opportunities.
This is a high-impact, execution-focused role that combines account management, inside sales, and business development. The position offers a competitive base salary plus commission, rewarding strong performance and contribution to overall sales growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and grow an existing portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring strong relationships and high retention
- Act as the primary point of contact for customers, providing timely responses to inquiries, quotes, and orders
- Proactively identify opportunities to increase revenue through cross-selling, upselling, and re-engaging inactive accounts
- Generate new business through outbound outreach, follow-ups, and relationship development
- Own the full sales cycle for inside accounts—from initial inquiry through quote, order, and follow-up
- Partner closely with outside sales and operations teams to ensure smooth execution and customer satisfaction
- Track and manage sales activity, pipeline, and performance against targets
- Support pricing and quoting decisions with an understanding of margin and profitability
- Resolve customer issues quickly while maintaining a high level of professionalism
Qualifications
- 2–5+ years of experience in inside sales, account management, or a customer-facing sales role
- Experience in industrial, manufacturing, or distribution environments preferred
- Proven ability to build relationships and drive sales growth
- Strong communication, organization, and follow-through
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM/ERP systems
