Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist (Contractor)

As a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist, you will provide psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and medication management services while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team dedicated to improving outcomes for underserved communities throughout Washington, DC.
Many of the individuals we serve have experienced trauma, chronic stress, anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, family conflict, and other barriers that impact their daily functioning and overall well-being. Through your work, you will help ensure consumers receive compassionate, evidence-based care that supports long-term recovery and resilience.
This hybrid position offers flexibility while maintaining meaningful connections with consumers and clinical teams through regular in-person engagement.

What You'll Do
As a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist, you will serve as a key member of our multidisciplinary treatment team.
You will:

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and diagnostic assessments
• Provide medication management and ongoing psychiatric care
• Develop treatment recommendations in collaboration with therapists, care coordinators, and clinical staff
• Support individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma-related concerns, behavioral challenges, mood disorders, and other behavioral health conditions
• Participate in multidisciplinary case consultation and treatment planning
• Provide clinical consultation and guidance to behavioral health staff as appropriate
• Support integrated, trauma-informed, and person-centered approaches to care
• Maintain timely and compliant clinical documentation
Schedule & Practice Model
• Contractor Position
• Minimum 10–15 Hours Per Week
• Approximately 8–9 Hours of Direct Patient Care Weekly
• Hybrid Model with Telehealth and In-Person Services
• Regular In-Person Availability Required (1–2 Days Per Week)
• Participation in Clinical Consultation and Team Meetings
Required Qualifications
• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Psychiatry
• Active, Unrestricted License to Practice Medicine in the District of Columbia
• Valid DEA Registration
• Strong clinical, communication, and collaboration skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working with children and adolescents
• Experience in outpatient or community-based behavioral health settings
• Experience collaborating within multidisciplinary treatment teams
• Experience serving culturally diverse populations

Compensation: $150.00 - $180.00 per hour
