Overview
As a Warehouse Production associate at PastryStar, you will play a crucial role in the production and distribution of our high-quality baked goods. You will be responsible for assisting in the daily operations of our warehouse, ensuring product quality, packaging, inventory control, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency of our food manufacturing process.

Responsibilities

  • Production Support: Assist in the preparation, packaging, and labeling of finished goods to ensure they meet PastryStar’s quality standards.
  • Inventory Management: Help with the organization and storage of raw ingredients and finished products in designated warehouse areas. Assist in inventory control, tracking stock levels, and reporting shortages.
  • Material Handling: Safely handle and transport raw materials, supplies, and finished products within the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manually when necessary.
  • Quality Control: Inspect goods during production to ensure compliance with company standards, including checking for proper packaging, labeling, and expiration dates.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate warehouse machinery such as conveyors, forklifts, and pallet jacks to move goods. Maintain equipment according to company protocols.
  • Sanitation: Ensure that the warehouse is clean and meets health and safety regulations. This includes proper waste disposal, regular cleaning of work areas, and sanitizing surfaces to meet food safety standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with production, inventory, and shipping teams to ensure a smooth workflow, meeting deadlines and production schedules.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
  • Documentation: Record product movements and monitor inventory for accuracy, completing necessary paperwork as needed.
  • Experience: Previous warehouse, production, or food manufacturing experience preferred, but not required.
Skills:

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
  • Attention to detail and ability to inspect products for quality.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
  • Basic math skills for inventory tracking.
  • Food Safety Knowledge: Basic understanding of food safety standards (or willingness to learn).
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move for extended periods.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures depending on the season. Occasional overtime may be required during peak production periods.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing or assembly line environment
  • Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to operate hand and power tools
  • Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics
  • Certification in forklift operation is a plus
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and efficiency
Compensation: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
