As a Warehouse Production associate at PastryStar, you will play a crucial role in the production and distribution of our high-quality baked goods. You will be responsible for assisting in the daily operations of our warehouse, ensuring product quality, packaging, inventory control, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency of our food manufacturing process.
As a Warehouse Production associate at PastryStar, you will play a crucial role in the production and distribution of our high-quality baked goods. You will be responsible for assisting in the daily operations of our warehouse, ensuring product quality, packaging, inventory control, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Your contributions will directly impact the efficiency of our food manufacturing process.
Responsibilities
- Production Support: Assist in the preparation, packaging, and labeling of finished goods to ensure they meet PastryStar’s quality standards.
- Inventory Management: Help with the organization and storage of raw ingredients and finished products in designated warehouse areas. Assist in inventory control, tracking stock levels, and reporting shortages.
- Material Handling: Safely handle and transport raw materials, supplies, and finished products within the warehouse using forklifts, pallet jacks, or manually when necessary.
- Quality Control: Inspect goods during production to ensure compliance with company standards, including checking for proper packaging, labeling, and expiration dates.
- Equipment Operation: Operate warehouse machinery such as conveyors, forklifts, and pallet jacks to move goods. Maintain equipment according to company protocols.
- Sanitation: Ensure that the warehouse is clean and meets health and safety regulations. This includes proper waste disposal, regular cleaning of work areas, and sanitizing surfaces to meet food safety standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with production, inventory, and shipping teams to ensure a smooth workflow, meeting deadlines and production schedules.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
- Documentation: Record product movements and monitor inventory for accuracy, completing necessary paperwork as needed.
- Experience: Previous warehouse, production, or food manufacturing experience preferred, but not required.
Skills:
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic knowledge of warehouse operations and equipment (e.g., forklifts, pallet jacks).
- Attention to detail and ability to inspect products for quality.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items (up to 50 lbs).
- Basic math skills for inventory tracking.
- Food Safety Knowledge: Basic understanding of food safety standards (or willingness to learn).
- Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move for extended periods.
Working Conditions:
Work is performed in a warehouse environment with varying temperatures depending on the season. Occasional overtime may be required during peak production periods.

Qualifications
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or assembly line environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to operate hand and power tools
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics
- Certification in forklift operation is a plus
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented setting
- Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and efficiency
Compensation: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
