Position Overview
Maricopa County is seeking PC/LAN Technicians to support a large-scale Desktop Refresh Program for the Judicial Branch. This role involves deploying and replacing desktop/laptop systems, providing onsite technical support, and ensuring smooth rollout of IT equipment across multiple facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Deploy and configure desktop and laptop computers
- Perform system imaging, workstation setup, and hardware replacement
- Install peripherals including monitors, docking stations, and printers
- Provide onsite technical support to end users during deployment activities
- Perform basic troubleshooting for hardware, software, and connectivity issues
- Track inventory and update ticketing and asset management systems
- Follow deployment schedules and ensure timely rollout completion
- Maintain accurate documentation of completed work
- Travel to various Judicial Branch locations within Maricopa County
Required Skills & Experience
- Minimum 3+ years of experience in:
- Desktop support
- Computer deployment
- Technical support or related IT field
- Experience deploying and configuring Windows desktop and laptop systems
- Basic knowledge of imaging and deployment processes
- Experience setting up peripherals and workstation components
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Ability to lift and move computer equipment
- Reliable transportation for travel within the county
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in large-scale PC refresh or deployment projects
- Experience with tools such as:
- SCCM, MDT, Intune, Autopilot
- Experience in enterprise, government, or public sector environments
- Knowledge of Active Directory and basic networking troubleshooting
- Experience with asset tracking and inventory systems
