About the Role:
Scott's Garden Centre in Orillia, ON is looking for a hardworking and dependable Landscape Technician & Snow Plow Operator to join their growing team. This is a dynamic, year-round role where you'll keep outdoor spaces beautiful in the summer and safe in the winter. Responsibilities:
- Perform landscape maintenance including mowing, trimming, edging, pruning, and planting
- Operate snow plow equipment to clear parking lots, driveways, and roadways during winter months
- Apply ice control materials such as salt and sand to maintain safe surfaces
- Maintain and care for landscape equipment, tools, and vehicles
- Install and maintain garden beds, mulch, and seasonal plantings
- Respond to on-call snow removal needs during weather events, including early mornings and weekends
- Communicate with team leads and clients to ensure job site expectations are met
Requirements:
- Previous experience in landscaping, grounds maintenance, or a related field
- Experience operating snow plow trucks and/or skid steers is a strong asset
- Valid Ontario driver's licence with a clean driving record
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and perform physical labour
- Reliable, punctual, and able to respond to on-call winter shifts
- Strong attention to detail and pride in delivering quality work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
