Join CRC TRANSPORT LLC as a Diesel Truck and Trailer Mechanic and become part of our team in Bear, Delaware!
We are looking for a responsible, dedicated, and learning-eager individual to work on the maintenance and repair of our fleet of commercial trucks and trailers.
No previous experience is necessary. We are willing to train and coach the right person.
For us, the most important thing is to have a desire to learn, responsibility, dedication, a good attitude and a desire to develop a stable and long-term working relationship.
If you have experience, it will be an advantage, but experience is not a requirement. If you're willing to learn and work hard, we want to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs of diesel trucks and trailers.
- Learn how to diagnose mechanical problems using diagnostic tools and equipment.
- Conduct vehicle inspections and ensure they meet safety standards.
- Repair or replace defective components, including brakes, engines, transmissions, and other systems.
- Perform maintenance on electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance work performed.
- Work as a team with other mechanics and members of the maintenance department.
- Follow company safety procedures and maintain a safe work environment.
- Keep the work area clean and organized.
- Continue to learn and develop knowledge about diesel vehicle technology and systems.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is a plus.
- Technical training in diesel mechanics is an advantage, but it is not mandatory.
- No previous experience is required.
- Any previous experience in mechanics, maintenance, trucks, or heavy equipment will be an asset.
- Ability and willingness to learn new skills.
- Good attitude and ability to work in a team.
- Responsibility, punctuality and strong work ethic.
- Attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Ability to solve problems and follow directions.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- CDL license is a plus, but it's not mandatory.
- Availability to work flexible schedules when needed.
