Responsibilities:
- Accurately input and maintain patient medication records in the pharmacy database.
- Verify prescription details and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with pharmacists to assist in medication order processing.
- Perform data audits to identify and rectify discrepancies in records.
- Assist in inventory management by tracking medication supplies and reordering as needed.
- Respond to inquiries and provide support to nursing staff regarding medication data.
- Utilize pharmacy software systems to streamline data entry processes.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations in all data handling.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in pharmacy or healthcare is a plus.
- Proven experience in data entry, preferably in a pharmacy or healthcare setting.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data management.
- Familiarity with pharmacy software and electronic health records (EHR).
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused demeanor.
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality practices.
