Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to support our day-to-day accounting operations. This role is ideal for an accounting professional with 1–3 years of experience who is looking to grow their career in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
The Staff Accountant will assist with month-end close activities, account reconciliations, accounts payable and receivable processes, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, and eager to develop a strong foundation in corporate accounting.
Responsibilities
- Prepare routine journal entries and maintain supporting documentation.
- Perform monthly bank and balance sheet account reconciliations.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close processes.
- Review financial transactions for accuracy and completeness.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions as needed.
- Assist with maintaining fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
- Research and resolve accounting discrepancies.
- Maintain organized accounting records and documentation.
- Assist with audit requests and financial reporting support.
- Prepare recurring reports and schedules for management.
- Support process improvement initiatives within the accounting department.
- Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of accounting, bookkeeping, or finance experience.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial statements.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred
- Experience with QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Sage Intacct, or similar accounting software.
- Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general ledger accounting.
- Experience working in a healthcare or professional services environment.
Compensation & Benefits
- Salary Range: $55,000 – $70,000 annually
