About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Line Cook to join the kitchen team at Pita Kitchen in Buckeye, AZ. In this position, you will help craft high-quality Mediterranean meals that delight our guests and reflect our commitment to fresh, authentic flavors.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of menu items following established recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain strict adherence to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines at all times.
- Support inventory control efforts and assist with food preparation and mise en place.
- Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure efficient and seamless service during peak hours.
- Track cooking times, temperatures, and techniques to consistently deliver excellent dish quality.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation throughout your shift.
- Adjust quickly to daily specials, menu updates, and customized customer requests.
- Help train and onboard new kitchen team members when required.
Requirements
- Prior experience working as a line cook or in a comparable fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Solid understanding of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures.
- Proven ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced setting without compromising quality.
- Effective communication skills and a strong team-oriented mindset.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
- Genuine enthusiasm for Mediterranean cuisine and a creative approach to cooking.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift moderately heavy kitchen equipment.
