About the Role
We are looking for a friendly and reliable Cashier to join the front-of-house team at Pita Kitchen in Verrado. In this key customer-facing role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, delivering exceptional service while accurately processing orders and payments for our fresh Mediterranean menu.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, take accurate orders, and provide menu recommendations with enthusiasm.
- Process payments efficiently using POS systems, handling cash, credit cards, mobile payments, and gift cards.
- Ensure order accuracy and promptly address any questions or special requests.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming front counter and dining area throughout your shift.
- Support team members with light food preparation, packaging orders, and restocking supplies as needed.
- Upsell additional menu items, sides, and beverages to enhance the guest experience.
- Balance cash drawers and complete end-of-shift financial reporting with precision.
- Collaborate with kitchen and service staff to ensure smooth, timely service during busy periods.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a cashier, server, or in a customer service role (restaurant experience preferred).
- Strong proficiency with POS systems and basic math skills for handling transactions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a genuine focus on guest satisfaction.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while remaining calm and accurate under pressure.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.
- Passion for Mediterranean cuisine and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
