Python Full Stack Developer
Austin TX (Remote)

We are looking for an engineer who enjoys working across both frontend and backend systems. This role heavily focuses on building web applications using React for the frontend and Python/FastAPI for the backend. You will be involved throughout the development lifecycle from designing new features and building APIs to troubleshooting production issues and supporting deployments.

Responsibilities:
  • Build and enhance React-based web applications.
  • Develop backend services and APIs using Python and FastAPI.
  • Work with REST APIs, asynchronous services, and microservice-based architectures.
  • Investigate software failures, identify root causes, and implement fixes.
  • Participate in testing, code reviews, and production releases.
  • Collaborate with engineers across multiple teams to deliver new functionality.
  • Support and improve applications running in Linux environments.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of software development experience.
  • Strong React development experience in production environments.
  • Strong Python development experience.
  • Hands-on experience with FastAPI.
  • JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
  • REST APIs and JSON-based integrations.
  • Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
  • Linux command line experience.
  • Familiarity with Bash or Python scripting.
  • Understanding of modern application architecture and software design principles.
Nice to have:
  • Experience with WebSockets and real-time applications.
  • Exposure to cloud platforms and distributed systems.
  • Experience supporting large-scale enterprise applications.
This role is best suited for engineers who are comfortable owning features end-to-end rather than working exclusively on either frontend or backend development.

This is a remote position.
