Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our cardiology team. The ideal candidate will have experience in cardiovascular health and/or post-acute and be comfortable managing patients with a variety of cardiac conditions. This role involves direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and ongoing management of cardiovascular diseases in collaboration with our cardiologists.

This is a full time position with flexible hours. The candidate will be expected to work 4-5 days per week seeing approximately 20 patients, with compensation ranging from $110,000- $150,000 annually based on your desired caseload.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive cardiovascular assessments, including patient history and physical exams
  • Diagnose and manage acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as EKGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, and lab work
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with cardiologists
  • Provide patient education on heart health, disease prevention, medications, and lifestyle modifications
  • Monitor and manage patients with hypertension, heart failure, atrial fibrillation, and other cardiac conditions
  • Perform follow-up visits and manage chronic disease care
  • Assist with hospital rounds and inpatient consultations as needed
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records (EHR)
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of patient care
Qualifications:

  • Board Certification (Nurse Practitioner)
  • Valid state license and certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to interpret diagnostic tests.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on patient education.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment.
  • Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems
  • Current ACLS Certificate
  • Current BLS certificate
