Job Summary
Guardian Utilities is seeking a reliable and hardworking General Laborers to join our team. This role involves supporting daily field and shop operations through a variety of tasks in a utility construction environment. The ideal candidate is a hard worker with the ability to meet the physical demands of the job.
Responsibilities
- Perform manual labor tasks including hand digging and heavy lifting as needed
- Operate basic and powered hand tools safely and effectively
- Load, unload, and handle materials both on job sites and within the shop
- Flag traffic and maintain a safe work zone around active work areas
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) including hard hats, safety glasses, high-visibility clothing, and work boots at all times
- Follow all company safety rules, policies, and established work procedures
- Maintain accurate inventory of parts and supplies used on job sites
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support team and project goals.
Qualifications
- Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects, digging, and standing for long periods
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent hand-eye coordination
- Ability to adhere to all safety rules and regulations
- Knowledge of power tools and industrial machinery is preferred
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Additional certifications or apprenticeship experience is preferred but not necessary
- Valid driver's license necessary. CDL preferred.
Compensation: $18.00 - $30.00 per hour
