Secrets Hideaway Resort & Spa is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and self-motivated Laundry & Public Area Attendant to join our Housekeeping Department on the overnight shift. This position plays a vital role in ensuring the resort remains clean, stocked, organized, and guest-ready throughout the night.
The ideal candidate takes pride in cleanliness, works independently, and enjoys contributing to a positive guest experience behind the scenes.
Position Summary
The Laundry & Public Area Attendant is responsible for operating the laundry facility, processing resort linens, maintaining public areas, and ensuring the cleanliness and presentation of guest-facing spaces during overnight hours. This position reports directly to the Housekeeping Supervisor and Housekeeping Manager.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Laundry Operations
- Wash, dry, fold, and organize resort linens, towels, robes, and housekeeping supplies.
- Sort linens according to cleaning requirements and company standards.
- Monitor laundry equipment and report any maintenance issues.
- Maintain laundry room cleanliness and organization.
- Ensure adequate linen inventory is available for the following day's operations.
- Assist with stocking housekeeping closets and supply areas.
Public Area Cleaning
- Clean and sanitize public restrooms throughout the resort.
- Maintain cleanliness of hallways, stairwells, lounges, common areas, and guest amenities.
- Sweep, vacuum, mop, and disinfect public spaces.
- Remove trash and replace liners throughout the property.
- Clean glass, mirrors, doors, and high-touch surfaces.
- Ensure all guest-facing areas remain clean, stocked, and presentable throughout the shift.
Resort Support
- Assist housekeeping staff with linen distribution and special cleaning projects.
- Respond to housekeeping-related requests as assigned by management.
- Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, and damages immediately.
- Assist with deep cleaning projects and special event preparation as needed.
- Ensure housekeeping storage rooms remain organized and fully stocked.
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping, laundry, janitorial, hotel, or resort experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work throughout the shift.
- Ability to stand, bend, push, pull, and walk for extended periods.
- Dependable attendance and punctuality required.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Schedule
- Overnight / Night Shift
- Full-Time Position
- Must be available to work weekends, holidays, and special events.
- Housekeeping operations run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Requirements
- Must maintain a professional appearance and adhere to uniform standards.
- Must be able to communicate using a two-way radio and WhatsApp.
- Must be comfortable working independently during overnight hours.
- Must follow all company safety, sanitation, and chemical handling procedures.

Secrets Hideaway Resort and Spa™ is the culmination of James & Carmen’s desire to create a Lifestyle resort, for Swingers, by Swingers. With an intimate understanding of the Lifestyle atmosphere, the King & Queen of Swing started out with “Hedo Events" and began throwing exceptional Lifestyle parties at various venues throughout Florida. Yet, despite the success of the Hedo parties, James felt something was missing. Based in the current location, Club Secret® was able to find a permanent home, and open its doors every weekend for like-minded guests to gather. In spring 2011, Hedo Events introduced its first hotel “takeover”, Swingers Break®, and created a wildly successful, clothing optional, multi-day, Lifestyle event.
Over the next few years, James and Carmen hosted multiple hotel takeovers, but still had a desire to create a truly private, members-only, Lifestyle resort experience. Fueled by the love and dedication of their Lifestyle family, the King & Queen were finally able to fully takeover the hotel and create a first-of-its-kind, 5-Star, Lifestyle resort, Secrets Hideaway Resort & Spa™.
