PROJECT MANAGEMENT OPPORTUNITY
Carrollton, TX
Seeking a qualified, experienced, and detailed HVAC Project Manager capable of handling multiple commercial and/or institutional HVAC projects in North Texas. HVAC Project contract values range from $2.0 million to $10.0 million and typically are central plant/hydronic systems as well as unitary systems as well.
The HVAC Project Manager oversees daily operational functions and ensures all work is completed safely, efficiently, to the highest quality standards, and on time and on budget.
Leadership Responsibilities Include:
• Lead and mentor Project Engineers and Project Coordinators.
• Work closely with on-site Project Superintendents and Foremen to establish construction scheduling priorities, maintain timely equipment and material flow, and address and resolve project challenges.
• Work closely with the General Superintendent for manpower staffing and rigging
• Conduct project status meetings and coordinate communication among office staff, field personnel, and clients.
• Work with Clients in a positive, forward-thinking manner to anticipate construction needs and provide problem-solving support.
Project Tasks Include:
• Manage commercial HVAC construction projects from award through closeout.
• Review and thoroughly understand project plans and specifications while ensuring project staff adheres to project scope and requirements.
• Generate and obtain timely responses to Requests for Information (RFI) that not only identify the issue or problem at hand but also provide workable, cost-effective solutions and suggestions.
• Generate time-driven change orders with detailed pricing breakdown and drawing documentation.
• Work with Purchasing to maintain a timely flow of equipment to the projects.
• Generate with the Project Coordinator Progress to timely generate progress billings.
• Foster strong relationships with customers while maintaining project profitability and schedule performance.
• Review shop drawings and submittals for project compliance.
• Track project costs to determine ongoing project profitability.
• Manage and coordinate with Start-up and Commissioning personnel.
• Work with the Project Coordinator and Project Engineer to produce properly completed project turnover documentation.

Requirements
• 7–10+ years of commercial HVAC or mechanical contracting experience.
• Previous experience managing commercial mechanical projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, piping, sheet metal, and controls.
• Ability to read mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Experience with budgeting, scheduling, and contract administration.
• Strong communication (oral as well as written) skills.
• Valid Texas driver's license with an excellent driving record.
• Strong organizational, planning, and skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Technical or trade school education in HVAC or a related field.
• Valid Texas driver's license with an excellent driving record.
Compensation: $150,000.00 - $170,000.00 per year
