Job Description

Campos Law Firm is looking for a highly strategic and results-oriented Chief Financial Officer to lead the financial management of the organization. This position will be responsible for overseeing all of the firm's financial operations, including financial planning, budgeting, accounting, tax compliance, risk management and profitability analysis. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in financial management, analytical capacity, strategic vision and leadership skills to support decision-making and contribute to the sustainable growth of the firm.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise the general accounting and ensure the correct preparation of financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with all tax and legal obligations related to the company's financial operations.
  • Collaborate with senior management in the formulation and implementation of strategies for the growth and development of the firm and its practice areas.
  • Assign and monitor cost centers, analyzing and reporting financial performance by office, department and/or service.
  • Develop and pay for the company's legal and administrative processes, identifying levels of profitability and optimization opportunities.
  • Monitor and adjust budgets as needed, ensuring alignment with the firm's strategic objectives.
  • Plan, control, and evaluate the selection and contracting of suppliers, as well as the purchasing processes applicable to suppliers outside the United States.
  • Manage and oversee all processes related to payroll and compensation.
  • Identify, evaluate and quantify the financial risks of the organization, developing strategies to mitigate them.
  • Supervise relations with banks, financial institutions, external auditors and other related bodies.
  • Design and implement strategies to improve the firm's operational efficiency, profitability and financial sustainability.
  • Prepare and present executive financial reports to management and other stakeholders, providing clear, accurate, and timely information on the organization's financial situation.
  • Perform any other function related to the position that is required by the Presidency.
Requirements

  • Professional degree in Finance, Public Accounting, Business Administration, Economics or related careers.
  • Extensive knowledge in accounting, budgeting, financial analysis, strategic planning and cost control.
  • Knowledge of applicable tax and financial regulations.
  • Experience in financial risk management and executive reporting.
  • Ability to analyze complex financial information and turn it into strategic recommendations.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation and decision-making skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial management tools.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in law firms or professional services firms.
  • Experience working with multiple cost centers and complex organizational structures.
  • Proficiency in English and Spanish.
