Multi-Subject Teachers

Creative STEAM Academy | Laguna Woods, CA
Part-Time to Full-Time Opportunities | On-Site | Grades 5–8 | Flexible 1–5 Day Schedule

Teach Without Walls. Connect Without Limits.
Help Students Experience Education the CSA Way.

Creative STEAM Academy is looking for passionate, creative, and credentialed Multi-Subject Teachers for grades 5–8 who believe learning should feel meaningful, imaginative, and alive.
We are currently hiring for multiple teaching blocks across middle school ELA, Math, Science, Social Studies, STEM, Robotics, Engineering, Financial Literacy, and project-based enrichment.
This is not a sit-at-your-desk, open-your-textbook, copy-the-notes kind of classroom. We are looking for educators who can bring learning to life through hands-on projects, real-world problem solving, storytelling, discussion, creativity, collaboration, experiments, games, design challenges, and meaningful student connection.

If you are looking for a flexible teaching role where you can teach 1–5 days per week, apply for multiple subject blocks, and bring your own creativity into the classroom, this may be exactly the opportunity you are looking for.

About Creative STEAM Academy
At Creative STEAM Academy, we do not just teach subjects. We build humans.
Creative STEAM Academy is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit learning center in Laguna Woods, CA, serving students through small class sizes, hands-on learning, creative exploration, project-based academics, and meaningful student support.

We believe education should be personal, engaging, and deeply human. Our students are known by name, challenged with purpose, and encouraged to think boldly, collaborate, problem-solve, and grow with confidence.

Our campus is intentionally different. We value connection over screens, curiosity over passive learning, and real-world application over busywork. Teachers at Creative STEAM are more than instructors. They are mentors, guides, creators, and the heartbeat of our mission.

Who You Are
You are the kind of teacher students remember years later.

You understand that upper elementary and middle school students need structure, creativity, humor, challenge, patience, and real connection. You are someone who:

Holds a Bachelor’s degree.

Holds a valid California Multiple Subject Teaching Credential, Single Subject Teaching Credential in an applicable subject area, Foundational-Level Mathematics credential, or other appropriate California teaching authorization for the grade levels and subject areas assigned.

Genuinely enjoys working with students in grades 5–8. Their energy, questions, humor, and growth inspire you.

Can connect a fraction to a budget, a novel to a real-world dilemma, a history lesson to modern life, a science concept to discovery, or a STEM challenge to innovation.

Believes students learn best when they are actively engaged, not passively listening.
Enjoys designing creative lessons without being locked into rigid scripts or one-size-fits-all curriculum.

Has strong classroom management and project-planning skills.

Is comfortable working with small groups, combo classes, homeschool learners, hybrid learning models, private school settings, or alternative education environments.

Thrives in a device-conscious classroom where real dialogue, hands-on learning, and human connection come first.

Values social-emotional learning, student confidence, life skills, and whole-child education.
Brings creativity, flexibility, dependability, and a genuine love for teaching.
