BENEFITS & PERKS (listed separately)

ABOUT THE JOB
In this role, you will report to and partner with the owners of this local business to deliver exceptional customer service and grow the team. You will play an active role in the delivery of all services while also leading and overseeing other technicians. Services include air quality testing, mold remediation, limited rough-in reconstruction, crawl space encapsulation, disinfection and other indoor air quality services.

Primary responsibilities
  • Technical Execution: Perform advanced remediation tasks, including basic demolition (drywall, baseboards, flooring), application of EPA-registered fungicides and cleaners, vapor barrier installation, strategic placement of air movers and dehumidifiers, and limited, non-structural rough-in reconstruction.
  • Team Leadership & Supervision: Lead, assist, and supervise other technicians on-site while working alongside them ensuring all projects are completed to our standard of excellence.
  • Safety Enforcement: Follow and enforce proper safety practices for the entire team, including ensuring all personnel wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) including respirators and Tyvek suits when required.
  • Customer Relations: Deliver exceptional customer service by being friendly and positive, treating people and their property with care, and acting as the company’s representative answering on-site customer questions and resolving concerns.
  • Operational Logistics: Responsibly drive company vehicles to work sites. Manage the loading/unloading of all necessary tools, supplies, and specialized equipment, as well as the appropriate disposal of removed materials. Maintain an immaculate worksite area.
  • Quality & Maintenance: Ensure customer job sites, the company van, and equipment are kept immaculately clean, organized, and properly maintained.
  • Digital Documentation: Use company-provided tools and procedures to maintain accurate, high-quality project documentation, including detailed work reports and photographs to track job progress.
  • Improvement Opportunity Identification: Help the owners of the business identify opportunities to improve service delivery, operational efficiency, team happiness and customer satisfaction by being attentive and solution-oriented.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Because we restore indoor air quality from start to finish, the candidate must possess strong, hands-on structural knowledge. This is not a "demolition-only" role. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Required qualifications
  • 2+ years of verifiable experience in mold remediation and/or water damage restoration.
  • 2+ years of verifiable residential or commercial construction experience. You must understand how buildings are put together (e.g., framing, wall assemblies, structural layouts).
  • Proven proficiency setting up critical containment zones according to industry standards (including engineering controls, poly sheeting, and decontamination chambers).
  • Experience leading a project from initial containment and material removal through to structural treatment and completion.
  • Fluency in English (oral and written) and able to communicate orally in Spanish.
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces when necessary (crawlspaces/attics) and wearing full PPE (including respirator use) for extended periods.
  • Able to safely lift up to 50 lbs. and carry equipment up/down stairs.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean motor vehicle record.
  • Access to dependable transportation to/from work.
  • Motivated and interested to learn and grow.
  • Professional, positive and enjoy working as part of a team.
  • High school education, or equivalent.
Additional preferred qualifications (not required but will strengthen your candidacy)
  • Proficiency with non-structural rough-in reconstruction (including hanging and prepping drywall) and able to lead projects through non-structural rough-in completion.
  • Experience as a Lead or Senior Technician.
  • Experience with other indoor air quality services (HVAC/duct cleaning, localized disinfecting treatments, etc.).
  • Active mold, water and/or other disaster restoration certifications (e.g., ACAC CRIE, IICRC WRT, IICRC AMRT). Note that the Company will provide training for certification attainment if/as needed for successful candidates.
  • Experience interacting directly with customers.
  • Post-secondary vocational or college education.
SUBSTANCE USE AND WORKPLACE SAFETY POLICY
Green Home Solutions Bay Area is committed to providing a safe, healthy, and productive work environment for our team and clients. Because our field services involve safety-sensitive tasks – including demolition, mold remediation, containment setup, and driving company vehicles – maintaining absolute on-the-job sobriety is critical to our operational safety. We maintain a strict zero-tolerance policy for the use, possession, distribution, or being under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances (including cannabis) while on the clock, on company premises, driving company vehicles, or conducting company business.

Following a conditional offer of employment, applicants will be required to undergo a pre-employment drug screening for controlled substances. While we respect our employees' lawful choices outside of work hours, any positive test for illegal or unauthorized controlled substances on the pre-employment screening (which excludes cannabis), evidence of on-the-job impairment (which includes cannabis), or a refusal to test, will result in the immediate withdrawal of the employment offer or termination of employment.
