Cryan Veterinary Hospital LLC in Westerville, OH is looking for a passionate and caring Seasonal Kennel Attendant to join our team! Responsibilities:
- Feed, water, and monitor the health and well-being of boarded animals daily
- Clean and sanitize kennels, runs, and common areas to maintain a safe and hygienic environment
- Provide exercise, socialization, and enrichment activities for dogs and cats
- Observe and report any signs of illness, injury, or behavioral changes to veterinary staff
- Handle animals safely and humanely, following proper animal restraint protocols
- Assist with check-in and check-out of boarded pets and communicate with pet owners
- Support veterinary and support staff with general kennel and clinic duties as needed
Requirements:
- Genuine love for animals and a compassionate, patient demeanor
- Previous experience working with animals in a kennel, shelter, or veterinary setting preferred
- Ability to safely handle dogs and cats of all sizes and temperaments
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work a flexible seasonal schedule including weekends and holidays
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow care instructions precisely
- Physical ability to stand for extended periods, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Strong communication skills and a team-oriented attitude
