Production Supervisor

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations while supporting production planning and scheduling activities. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a solid understanding of manufacturing processes, and experience in production planning to ensure efficient workflow, optimal resource utilization, and on-time delivery of customer orders.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities to ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules are achieved.
- Lead, coach, and develop production employees to maintain a safe, productive, and engaged workforce.
- Manage daily and weekly production schedules based on customer demand, inventory levels, and capacity.
- Coordinate with Planning, Purchasing, Warehouse, Maintenance, and Quality departments to ensure uninterrupted production.
- Monitor production performance and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and improve efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies, quality standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Analyze production data and prepare reports on productivity, efficiency, scrap, downtime, and labor utilization.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials and work-in-progress and communicate material requirements proactively.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
- Participate in production planning meetings and contribute to capacity planning and resource allocation.
- Maintain accurate production records and ensure ERP/MRP system transactions are completed accurately and on time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- 3–5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Experience in production planning, scheduling, and capacity planning.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, production control, inventory management, and quality systems.
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications.
Preferred Skills
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Strong analytical and decision-making abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to interpret production reports, KPIs, and performance metrics.
- Experience with production scheduling software is an advantage.
Compensation: $50,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
