About the Role:
The Smile Center of Columbus NJ is looking for a friendly and organized Front Desk team member to be the welcoming face of our dental practice! This is a fantastic opportunity to join a patient-focused team where your communication skills and attention to detail will make a real difference every day.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check in patients with a warm, professional demeanor
- Answer incoming phone calls, respond to inquiries, and manage appointment scheduling
- Verify dental insurance benefits and process patient billing and co-pays
- Maintain and update accurate patient records in the practice management system
- Coordinate patient flow and communicate with clinical staff to ensure smooth daily operations
- Handle patient correspondence, appointment reminders, and follow-up communications
- Manage front office administrative tasks including filing, data entry, and office supply inventory
Requirements:
- Prior dental or medical front office experience preferred
- Familiarity with dental practice management software (Dentrix, Eaglesoft, or similar) a plus
- Knowledge of dental insurance verification and billing processes
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with a patient-first attitude
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in basic computer applications and office technology
- Reliable, punctual, and a collaborative team player
