About the Role:
Elite Dermatology PLLC is looking for a motivated and compassionate Dermatology Medical Assistant to join our growing team in Tomball, TX.
Responsibilities:
- Room patients and document chief complaints, medical histories, and vital signs accurately in the EMR system
- Assist dermatology providers during skin exams, biopsies, excisions, and cosmetic procedures
- Prepare and maintain exam rooms, ensuring proper sterilization and stocking of supplies
- Educate patients on treatment plans, skincare regimens, and post-procedure care instructions
- Handle pathology specimens according to established protocols
- Maintain compliance with HIPAA, OSHA, and clinical safety standards
Requirements:
- Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) preferred
- Prior experience in dermatology or a specialty clinic strongly preferred
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems and clinical documentation
- Knowledge of dermatology procedures, terminology, and skincare treatments a plus
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first attitude
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a high-volume clinical setting
- Reliable, detail-oriented, and a collaborative team player
