- Provide professional nursing care according to the state Nurse Practice Act.
- Provide care according to medical practitioner orders and the client’s plan of care.
- Monitor and report changes in the client’s condition.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation.
- Provide personal care, client education, emergency intervention, and monitoring as appropriate.
- Provide specialized pediatric care based on client needs, including tracheostomy care, ventilator management, and tube feedings when applicable.
- Collaborate with families, physicians, nurses, therapists, and other members of the care team.
- Promote a safe environment for clients and coworkers.
- Follow Agency policies, procedures, clinical standards, and applicable payer requirements.
- Participate in coordination of care, meetings, and training as requested.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Current, unrestricted LPN license in the state of operation.
- Current CPR certification.
- Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
- Automobile insurance meeting state and/or Agency requirements.
- Pediatric or private duty nursing experience preferred but not required for all positions. Training may be provided based on client needs.
