Position Summary
The Therapeutic Mentor provides individualized, strengths-based mentoring and skill-building services to youth in home, school, and community settings. Working closely with clinicians, caregivers, educators, and other service providers, you will help youth strengthen social, emotional, behavioral, and daily living skills while supporting the goals identified in their individualized treatment plans.

Compensation: $18–$20 per hour, based on experience, plus an additional $2.50 per hour as a vehicle maintenance allowance for employees who use their personal vehicle for work.

What You'll Do
- Develop positive, supportive relationships with youth through consistent mentoring and encouragement.
- Help children and adolescents build confidence, emotional regulation, communication, social, and problem-solving skills.
- Support youth in working toward individualized treatment goals through engaging, community-based activities.
- Model healthy behaviors and reinforce positive decision-making in real-life situations.
- Partner with caregivers, schools, clinicians, and community providers to ensure coordinated support.
- Encourage independence, resilience, and personal growth while celebrating each client's progress.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided.
- Participate in clinical supervision, team meetings, and ongoing professional development.
- Transport clients to approved community activities or appointments when appropriate.
- Follow agency policies and maintain the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality.
What We're Looking For
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with children, adolescents, or families in education, behavioral health, social services, recreation, or related settings.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- A compassionate, patient, and dependable approach to supporting youth.
- Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to successfully complete required background screenings.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, Education, or a related field.
- Experience providing therapeutic mentoring, behavioral health, or community-based services.
- Knowledge of trauma-informed care, child development, and strengths-based interventions.
