Job Summary:
As a Freight Associate, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient movement of products throughout our warehouse. This hands-on role involves loading, unloading, storing, and transporting freight using equipment such as forklifts, order pickers, electric pallet jacks, and hand pallet jacks. The Freight Associate is a critical part of our operations team, helping to maintain inventory accuracy, support daily warehouse activities, and ensure customer orders are processed and shipped in a timely manner.

Duties/Responsibilities:
• Load and unload freight from trucks, containers, and other transportation vehicles in a safe and efficient manner.
• Operate material handling equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, hand trucks, and other warehouse equipment, while following all safety guidelines.
• Receive, sort, stage, stack, and organize freight within designated warehouse locations to ensure efficient storage and retrieval.
• Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for damage, verify quantities, and ensure all documentation is accurate and complete.
• Assist with inventory control activities, including cycle counts, physical inventories, and reconciliation of inventory discrepancies.
• Prepare freight for shipment by packaging, labeling, and staging products according to company and customer requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in accordance with company standards and warehouse best practices.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support workflow efficiency and achieve departmental goals.
• Perform additional warehouse and freight-handling duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Ability to push, pull, and lift product using material handling equipment.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Basic computer skills.
• Commitment to following safety policies and procedures.
Education and Experience:
• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Previous warehouse or freight handling experience preferred.
• Previous warehouse or freight handling experience preferred.
• Experience operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment preferred.
• Working knowledge of safety regulations and procedures.
Physical Requirements:
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach throughout the workday.
• Ability to safely operate material handling equipment.
• Ability to perform physical work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
