Our Chicago office, located in Schiller Park just 10 minutes from O'Hare International Airport, serves as a key hub for our service and showroom operations. We are seeking a hands-on Service Technician to join our Schiller Park, IL team. This is a full-time, in-house position based in our Chicago warehouse and showroom, with the exception of field travel for customer installations/service and major industry tradeshows. Travel typically accounts for less than 30% of the role.
Responsibilities

We are seeking a hands-on Service Technician to join our Schiller Park, IL team. Responsibilities
- Uncrate, power-up, and fully test new machine tools; prepare inspection reports
- Install, assemble, and repair chip-making and fabrication machinery
- Perform customer demonstrations and provide technical support
- Assist customers via phone and email with troubleshooting and problem resolution
- Prepare machines for shipping to end-users
- Complete accurate service documentation, inspection reports, and maintenance logs.
- Support major industry tradeshows (IMTS, FABTECH) with demos and machine setup (occasional travel, less than 30%)
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience with Capital Equipment / Machine Tools (lathes, mills, grinders, saws, etc.
- Industrial electrical (3-phase) knowledge and troubleshooting ability
- Mechanical aptitude and previous equipment repair/installation experience
- Strong problem-solving and customer service skills
- Clear, professional communication (phone, email, in person)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office

Compensation: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
