About the Role:
Henderson Christian Academy in Henderson, NV is looking for a flexible and dependable Floater/On-Call staff member to join our team! This exciting opportunity is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and loves working with students across a variety of settings and classrooms.
Responsibilities:
- Provide on-call coverage across multiple classrooms and grade levels as needed
- Support lead teachers with daily instruction, activities, and classroom management
- Supervise and engage students in a safe, nurturing, and faith-based environment
- Adapt quickly to varying classroom routines, procedures, and expectations
- Assist with student transitions, lunch, recess, and other daily activities
- Maintain a positive and orderly classroom atmosphere in the absence of the regular teacher
- Communicate effectively with staff, administration, and parents as needed
Requirements:
- Prior experience working with children in a school or childcare setting is preferred but not mandatory
- Flexible availability and ability to report on short notice
- Strong classroom management and interpersonal communication skills
- Alignment with Christian values and a faith-based educational mission
- Ability to pass a background check and meet Nevada state requirements
- Reliable, punctual, and adaptable team player

Compensation: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
