A Space for Us Counseling is expanding into an integrated wellness center offering neuroscience-informed, holistic, somatic, and trauma-responsive services.

Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Massage and Bodywork Therapist to join our integrated wellness team.
The ideal candidate will provide safe, client-centered massage and bodywork services that support relaxation, stress reduction, body awareness, nervous-system regulation, and overall wellness.
The therapist must demonstrate strong professional boundaries, respect for client autonomy, and a commitment to trauma-informed and culturally responsive care.
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct client consultations and identify appropriate treatment goals.
- Provide safe, professional, and individualized massage and bodywork sessions.
- Explain treatment options and obtain informed consent before services.
- Maintain appropriate draping, privacy, boundaries, and client comfort.
- Modify or discontinue services when contraindications or safety concerns are present.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential client records.
- Follow sanitation, infection-control, and treatment-room safety procedures.
- Collaborate with therapists and wellness professionals when authorized by the client.
- Refer clients to appropriate medical or behavioral health professionals when needed.
- Maintain a clean, calm, and welcoming treatment environment.
- Follow all licensing, ethical, privacy, and organizational requirements.
Required Credentials and Qualifications
- Active and unrestricted New Jersey Massage and Bodywork Therapist license in good standing.
- Completion of an approved massage or bodywork therapy education program.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, contraindications, sanitation, client safety, and professional ethics.
- Current professional liability insurance or willingness to obtain coverage before starting.
- Strong communication, documentation, organization, and interpersonal skills.
- Understanding of informed consent, confidentiality, professional boundaries, and scope of practice.
- Commitment to inclusive, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed care.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within an integrated wellness setting.
- Current CPR and first-aid certification, or willingness to obtain certification before starting.
- Ability to complete required employment screenings and credential verification.
All specialty services must remain within the therapist’s education, professional competency, license, and legally permitted scope of practice.

Compensation: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
