About the Role:
Sacramento Montessori is looking for a passionate and nurturing Infant Teacher to join our dedicated early childhood education team in Sacramento, CA. This is a wonderful opportunity to make a lasting impact during the most formative stage of a child's development in a warm, enriching Montessori environment.
CLOSING SHIFT: 8:30-5:30
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive, responsive care for infants in a safe and nurturing classroom environment
- Implement age-appropriate Montessori-inspired activities to support cognitive, social, and physical development
- Maintain accurate daily logs including feeding, sleeping, and developmental observations
- Communicate regularly and openly with parents and guardians regarding their child's progress
- Ensure classroom cleanliness, safety, and compliance with licensing regulations
- Collaborate with lead teachers and staff to create a cohesive, supportive learning community
- Support infant milestones and developmental stages through intentional, child-led interactions
Requirements:
- Minimum 12 units in Early Childhood Education (ECE), including 3 infant/toddler units
- Prior experience working with infants in a licensed childcare or early education setting
- Knowledge of or interest in Montessori philosophy and infant development principles
- Current CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Must meet California Community Care Licensing background check requirements
- Warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor with a genuine passion for infant care
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
