Job Summary


We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Personal Care Aide to join our team in Old Saybrook, CT, and surrounding communities. This is a 24-hour live-in position, 7 days per week, providing support and companionship to a senior client.


In this role, you will make a meaningful difference in the client’s quality of life by assisting with personal care, household tasks, meals, errands, medication reminders/assistance, and companionship. The ideal candidate is patient, respectful, compassionate, dependable, and committed to helping the client maintain dignity and independence in their own home.


Responsibilities

  • Assist with personal hygiene, grooming, and dressing
  • Provide supervision and support while encouraging the client’s independence
  • Assist with social interactions and daily activities
  • Prepare meals and snacks according to the client’s needs and preferences
  • Perform light housekeeping and maintain a clean, safe living environment
  • Assist with medication management and/or medication reminders as permitted by applicable regulations
  • Provide companionship and emotional support
  • Assist with errands, shopping, and other daily activities
  • Follow all care instructions and health and safety guidelines
  • Report any changes in the client’s condition or needs to the appropriate supervisor or family member

Qualifications

  • Previous experience as a Caregiver, Personal Care Aide, Home Health Aide, or in a similar role is preferred but not required
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Basic knowledge of housekeeping and meal preparation
  • Ability to follow health and safety guidelines
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to assist with lifting and other physical care needs as required
  • Compassionate, respectful, trustworthy, and ethical
  • Reliable, patient, and dependable
  • Ability to maintain client confidentiality and respect the client’s dignity and privacy
Compensation: $175.00 per day
