We are seeking a dedicated Certified Elementary Special Education Teacher to join our team full-time in Ithaca, NY. This position offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact by supporting students with diverse learning needs, fostering inclusion, and helping each child reach their fullest potential
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and small-group instruction to students with special needs.
- Develop and implement IEPs in collaboration with families and staff.
- Adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet diverse learning styles.
- Collaborate with general education teachers to promote inclusive practices.
- Monitor student progress and maintain compliance with district and state requirements.
- Foster a positive, supportive classroom environment that encourages growth and independence.
Qualifications:
- Current New York certification in Special Education (Elementary level).
- Experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
- Ability to adapt instruction to meet individual student needs.
- Commitment to student success and inclusive education.
