- Inspect residential and commercial properties following water, fire, storm, mold, and other insured losses.
- Prepare detailed reconstruction estimates using Xactimate or other estimating software.
- Develop complete scopes of work based on site inspections, building codes, and insurance carrier guidelines.
- Review estimates with insurance adjusters and negotiate scope differences when necessary.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure approved estimates accurately reflect project requirements.
- Monitor project budgets and communicate approved changes throughout the reconstruction process.
- Prepare supplements and documentation for additional work as needed.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to obtain pricing and verify project costs.
- Maintain organized project files, photographs, sketches, and documentation.
- Ensure all estimates comply with company standards, local building codes, and insurance requirements.
- Provide exceptional customer service by keeping homeowners informed throughout the estimating process.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in construction estimating, restoration estimating, or insurance restoration.
- Experience estimating residential and commercial reconstruction projects.
- Proficiency in Xactimate is required; Symbility experience is a plus.
- Strong understanding of residential construction methods, materials, and building codes.
- Ability to read blueprints, sketches, and construction documents.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and cloud-based project management software.
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
- IICRC certifications
- OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification
- Experience working directly with insurance carriers and third-party administrators (TPAs)
- Previous restoration industry experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
