SweatHouz San Mateo is a boutique wellness studio offering infrared sauna and cold plunge experiences designed to help our members recover, de-stress, and perform at their best. We’re growing fast and looking for a hands-on leader to run day-to-day operations and build a standout member experience.
About the Role
We’re hiring a Studio Manager to own the full member and staff experience at our San Mateo location. You’ll lead a small team of Studio/Sales Associates, drive membership sales and retention, manage day-to-day operations, and make sure every member who walks through the door has an incredible visit. This is a high-visibility role with real ownership and growth potential as we expand.
What You’ll Do
- Manage daily studio operations: scheduling, opening/closing procedures, cleanliness, and equipment upkeep
- Hire, train, coach, and schedule Studio/Sales Associates and cleaning staff
- Drive membership sales — lead generation, tours, closing, and follow-up
- Own member retention: check-ins, win-back outreach, and resolving member concerns
- Manage inventory and vendor relationships (towels, supplies, equipment)
- Track and hit monthly KPIs for sales, retention, and studio performance
- Ensure brand standards and safety/cleanliness protocols are followed at all times
- Report performance and issues directly to ownership
What We’re Looking For
- 1–3+ years in a management, sales, or customer-facing leadership role (fitness/wellness/hospitality/retail preferred)
- Proven ability to hire, train, and motivate a team
- Comfortable with sales conversations and hitting revenue targets
- Highly organized, dependable, and able to work independently
- Strong communication skills — with members, staff, and ownership
- Available for a mix of mornings, evenings, and weekends as needed
- CPR/First Aid certification a plus (or willingness to obtain)

Compensation: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
