- Lead the daily execution of all mitigation field operations.
- Supervise multiple mitigation crews while maintaining consistent production standards.
- Visit every active project regularly to monitor progress, quality, customer satisfaction, and crew performance.
- Ensure crews remain productive, prepared, and focused throughout the workday.
- Remove obstacles that prevent efficient job completion.
- Coordinate closely with the Mitigation Operations Manager to execute daily production priorities.
- Serve as the primary field resource for Lead Technicians and escalate issues only when necessary.
- Coach, mentor, and develop Lead Technicians and Mitigation Technicians through regular field training.
- Reinforce company standards through real-time coaching and accountability.
- Establish clear expectations for workmanship, professionalism, urgency, communication, punctuality, and customer service.
- Assist in onboarding and training new employees.
- Identify future leaders and support their development.
- Promote teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement across all crews.
- Ensure every project meets Paul Davis, IICRC, insurance carrier, and company quality standards.
- Verify that crews complete all required documentation before jobs are considered complete.
- Ensure photographs, MICA/Mitigate documentation, moisture readings, equipment logs, sketches, notes, and syncing are completed accurately and on time.
- Verify proper containment, demolition, drying plans, equipment placement, and daily production activities.
- Conduct regular quality inspections throughout active projects.
- Eliminate callbacks by identifying and correcting deficiencies before crews leave the job site.
- Reinforce the company standard:
- Ensure homeowners understand the work being performed, what comes next, and who to contact with questions.
- Verify customer satisfaction throughout each project and before crews leave the job site.
- Resolve customer concerns in the field before they become complaints.
- Create customer experiences worthy of five-star Google reviews, outstanding survey results, and future referrals.
- Identify appropriate opportunities to request Google reviews and customer feedback.
- Recognize opportunities for additional services, including reconstruction, contents restoration, specialty cleaning, environmental services, and appropriate self-pay work.
- Identify scope changes early and communicate opportunities promptly to the Mitigation Operations Manager.
- Help homeowners understand available options through honest education and professional guidance.
- Maintain the technical knowledge and practical skills necessary to lead by example.
- Be capable of stepping into mitigation work, documentation, equipment setup, drying verification, estimating support, or technical problem-solving whenever operationally necessary.
- Maintain working knowledge of Xactimate, Symbility, DocuSketch, moisture mapping, psychrometrics, IICRC standards, and restoration best practices.
- Earn the confidence of technicians through technical competence and field leadership.
- Ensure mitigation equipment is clean, maintained, inventoried, and deployment-ready.
- Monitor equipment utilization and communicate repair or replacement needs.
- Verify trucks are stocked, organized, and prepared for daily operations.
- Protect company equipment through proper accountability and preventive maintenance.
- Promote and enforce a culture of safety on every project.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA requirements, IICRC standards, company policies, and applicable regulations.
- Verify proper PPE usage and safe work practices.
- Conduct routine field safety observations.
- Address unsafe conditions immediately.
- Monitor crew productivity, production quality, documentation completion, drying performance, equipment utilization, safety, and customer satisfaction.
- Identify recurring field issues and recommend long-term improvements.
- Help develop systems that improve consistency, efficiency, and production quality.
- Maintain high production standards while continuously improving field operations.
- Participate in the rotating field on-call schedule, including some after-hours, holiday, and weekend responsibilities.
- Respond to emergency losses when scheduled.
- Provide field leadership during emergency situations.
- Support the Mitigation Operations Manager during catastrophic weather events, commercial losses, or periods of high call volume.
- Represent Paul Davis Restoration with professionalism, integrity, and pride.
- Protect and strengthen the Paul Davis brand through exceptional workmanship, leadership, and customer care.
- Build lasting relationships with homeowners, insurance professionals, vendors, and community partners.
- Serve as a positive ambassador for Paul Davis on every project.
- Help grow the reputation of Paul Davis Restoration of Downriver Detroit through consistent execution and outstanding customer experiences.

- Five or more years of mitigation or restoration experience.
- Previous experience leading mitigation crews or supervising field operations.
- Strong understanding of water, fire, mold, storm, contents, and emergency mitigation.
- Working knowledge of MICA, Xactimate, Symbility, DocuSketch, or similar restoration software preferred.
- IICRC certifications (WRT required; ASD and other advanced certifications preferred or willingness to obtain).
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to pass background screening and other pre-employment requirements.
