Position Summary
The Equipment Technician is a critical member of our operations team, responsible for ensuring equipment is deployed, operated, and maintained safely and efficiently while supporting the successful execution of restoration and catastrophe response projects. This role represents the company with professionalism in the field, upholding our brand standards while delivering exceptional service to clients during routine operations and emergency response situations.

Is This You?
Based within our DFW operations team, this position requires the ability to perform in fast-paced, high-pressure environments where priorities can change rapidly. Equipment Technicians are responsible for supporting operational objectives, maintaining a strong commitment to workplace safety, and ensuring projects are completed efficiently and in accordance with company standards. Success in this role requires sound judgment, technical aptitude, resourcefulness, professionalism, and the ability to work collaboratively with field teams under demanding conditions. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintenance and repair of complex mechanical, electrical equipment, generators, dehumidifiers, and diesel systems on a variety of rental equipment and tools while using a high degree of independent judgment.
  • Maintenance on the Mooring USA fleet, Trucks, Vans, Trailers. Oil Changes, registrations, Inspections.
  • Must be able to travel at a moment's notice for weeks at a time.
  • When required, travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance of rental or customer owned equipment; must maintain service vehicles in a clean and professional manner.
  • Setup electrical distribution and monitor on location until the emergency job is completed.
  • Assist in the training of lower-level technicians as needed.
  • Maintain paperwork/electronic documentation of work performed (work orders) FULLBAY Program in a complete and timely manner daily.
  • Assist with pick-up and delivery of equipment & parts.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools
  • Knowledge of construction equipment with an understanding of schematics and electrical diagrams
  • Must own tools applicable to position; Mooring USA will assist with high-priced tools (e.g., Electrical Meters)
  • Superior customer service, teamwork, and verbal/written communication skills
  • Ability to frequently lift items up to 45 lbs and greater than 45 lbs occasionally
  • Ability to travel on short notice for extended periods of time
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
