About the Role:
CardioClinic in Katy, TX is looking for a passionate and skilled Nurse Practitioner to join our dedicated cardiovascular care team. Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including history-taking and physical examinations for cardiovascular conditions
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic cardiac conditions in collaboration with attending cardiologists
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as EKGs, and lab work
- Develop and implement individualized patient care plans and treatment protocols
- Prescribe medications and manage pharmacological therapies for cardiac patients
- Educate patients and families on cardiovascular health, disease management, and preventive care
- Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams, specialists, and ancillary staff
Requirements:
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of Texas (APRN)
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing (MSN or DNP) from an accredited program
- Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C) or Adult-Gerontology NP (AGPCNP-BC)
- Experience in cardiology, internal medicine, or a related clinical specialty preferred
- Proficiency in interpreting EKGs and cardiovascular diagnostic studies
- Strong clinical decision-making, communication, and patient education skills
- DEA registration or eligibility to obtain
