Join Mister Sparky® of Southeast Oakland County, a locally owned residential electrical service company backed by a nationally recognized home-services brand.
We are hiring a Michigan-licensed Journeyman Electrician to join our residential service team. Your experience can come from residential, commercial, industrial, construction, maintenance, generators, or service.
No residential sales experience is required. We provide training on our residential-service process and customer experience standards.
Compensation and Benefits
- $46–$50 per hour guaranteed base pay
- $95,680–$104,000 in annual base wages + overtime opportunities

What You'll Do
- Troubleshoot, repair, replace, and install residential electrical systems.
- Complete panel, service, circuit, wiring, device, and fixture work.
- Identify electrical safety and code concerns.
- Explain findings and recommended solutions clearly to homeowners.
- Complete accurate job notes, photos, and invoices.
- Protect the customer's home and complete work safely and professionally.
What We're Looking For
We want electricians who know the trade, take pride in their work, and are interested in residential service.
You do not need to come from a residential-service company or have sales experience. If you have a strong electrical background, can troubleshoot problems, communicate professionally, and are willing to learn our service process, we want to talk to you.
Qualifications
- Active Michigan Journeyman Electrician license
- Electrical experience in residential, commercial, industrial, construction, maintenance, generators, or service
- Good troubleshooting skills and electrical fundamentals
- Professional, dependable, and comfortable working with customers
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
