Responsibilities:
- Provide attentive, hands-on childcare in a safe and nurturing environment
- Engage children in age-appropriate activities, games, and educational play
- Prepare light meals and snacks while adhering to any dietary needs or restrictions
- Assist with homework, reading, and other developmental activities
- Maintain a clean and organized environment during care hours
- Follow family routines including nap times, bedtime schedules, and daily activities
- Communicate openly and professionally with parents regarding the child's day and any concerns
Requirements:
- Prior experience in childcare, babysitting, or a related caregiving role preferred
- Warm, patient, and nurturing demeanor with a genuine love for working with children
- CPR and First Aid certification is a plus
- Reliable, punctual, and trustworthy with strong references
- Ability to pass a background check
- Strong communication skills and ability to follow family guidelines and instructions
- Must be located in or able to commute to Long Island, NY
