New England Institute for Neurology and Headache provides holistic health care to children, teens, and adults in Stamford, Connecticut. The practice maximizes healing with comprehensive care from a team of experts in neurology, psychology, behavioral medicine, and physical therapy. The team sees patients in the office and through telemedicine. They even make old-fashioned house calls to consult with and treat patients who can’t reach the office or prefer to stay home. Patients also have the option of concierge services, paying an annual one-time fee in return for a certain number of visits and benefits, like connecting with providers by email and cell phone.
The New England Institute for Neurology and Headache team chose to be a direct-pay provider because it allows them to customize each patient’s care instead of being limited by insurance company approval. Staying out-of-network also gives them the freedom to spend more time with patients, schedule same- and next-day appointments, and deliver advanced services like ketamine infusions, lumbar punctures, muscle and nerve biopsies, as well as genetic testing. The team is dedicated to developing new treatments through clinical research. Their involvement in clinical trials allows patients to participate in research and receive cutting-edge treatments. Patients receive personalized care for nerve-related disorders, including back pain, neuropathy, dementia, and movement disorders.
The team has extensive experience treating migraines and other severe headaches. As concussion specialists, the team performs baseline computerized cognitive testing and supports each person’s return to optimal health with concussion rehabilitation. Patients needing help for attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) find exceptional care covering all their needs, from medication and behavioral interventions to parent education and physical therapy.
