About the Role:
OPTIMA INC, a manufacturer of Visual Communication Boards and is looking for a Manufacturing Associate Boxer. This is a great entry level opportunity to be part of a hands-on production environment where precision and quality craftsmanship abound.   If you take pride in your work, can read work orders, use math skills, utilize power tools, pay attention to details, thrive in a face paced manufacturing environment, a team player and are strong,  you will be a good fit for this position -we want to hear from you!

Responsibilities:
  • Perform assembly process of whiteboard packaging from start to finish for safe transportation and delivery to customers
  • Follow and adhere to daily production schedule 
  • Read Bill of Material sheets and inspect and ready the appropriate raw materials for the work cell
  • Review work orders and prioritize workflow to ensure product is sent in a timely manner
  • Perform final quality check of manufactured products prior to packaging
  • Move large, finished packages to ship area
  • Monitor and record any waste arising out of the packing process
  • Maintain production records by inputting and reviewing production data in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system
  • Ship finished goods utilizing shipping software (FreightPOP)
  • Maintain organization of shipping docks
  • Keep accurate logs of shipping documents 
  • Communicate and assist with up/down stream production to ensure on-time delivery
  • Monitor, communicate, and escalate material and product levels to ensure sufficient inventory levels
  • Complete preventative maintenance on equipment per weekly reports
  • Assist in quarterly inventory counts
  • Follow written instructions and safety protocols
  • Clean work area daily and warehouse regularly
  • Acquire a working knowledge of OptiMA product lines and build components
  • Assist in other areas of manufacturing as needed

Requirements:
  • Must be able to carry up to 100 pounds with assistance 
  • High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred
  • Proficiency with measurements and basic math skills 
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive manual tasks
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work unscheduled and scheduled overtime as required 
  • Experience in a warehouse, manufacturing, or a construction environment is a plus

Compensation: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
