Arcadia Senior Care LLC – Eugene, Oregon
Arcadia Senior Care LLC – Eugene, Oregon
About the Position
Arcadia Senior Care is looking for a caring, dependable, and energetic Caregiver to join our Adult Foster Home team in Eugene.
We are a small 5-resident Adult Foster Home, which allows us to provide much more personal and individualized care than you typically see in a large facility. Our goal is not only to make sure our residents are safe and well cared for, but also to make sure they have a good quality of life, stay engaged, and feel like they are truly at home.
This position is a combination of caregiving, activities, and on-call/backup coverage. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with people and can bring positive energy into the home.
What You’ll Do
- Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and other activities of daily living
- Assist residents with mobility, transfers, and positioning based on their individual care needs
- Spend meaningful one-on-one time with residents
- Plan and participate in activities based on each resident's interests and abilities
- Help residents get outside, go on walks, participate in games, music, movies, crafts, outings, and other activities
- Encourage residents to stay as active, social, and independent as possible
- Assist with meals and provide a comfortable, enjoyable dining experience
- Observe residents for changes in condition and communicate concerns promptly
- Follow individual care plans and established procedures
- Complete required documentation accurately
- Help maintain a clean, organized, safe, and comfortable home
- Provide on-call or backup coverage when additional staffing is needed
- Communicate professionally with residents, families, coworkers, management, and healthcare providers
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who is dependable, patient, compassionate, and takes pride in providing excellent care.
The right person understands that good caregiving is more than completing a checklist. It means getting to know the person you are caring for, understanding their routine and preferences, noticing when something is different, and helping make their day better.
Experience working in an Adult Foster Home, assisted living, memory care, residential care, CNA setting, or similar environment is strongly preferred.
You should be comfortable working with residents who may have higher physical or neurological care needs and may require assistance with transfers, mobility, personal care, and daily routines.
Requirements
- Previous caregiving or CNA experience preferred
- Adult Foster Home experience is a plus
- Comfortable providing hands-on personal care
- Comfortable assisting with transfers and mobility
- Dependable and able to respond when scheduled for on-call coverage
- Ability to work independently while also being part of a team
- Good communication and documentation skills
- Positive attitude and genuine interest in working with adults who need care
- CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain
- Ability to meet Oregon background-check and employment requirements
- Reliable transportation
- Flexible availability, including some evenings and weekends
About Arcadia Senior Care
Arcadia Senior Care has been providing Adult Foster Home care in Eugene for many years. We specialize in providing personalized care in a smaller, home-like environment where residents receive individual attention and caregivers have the opportunity to truly know the people they are caring for.
With only five residents in the home, our approach is different from a large assisted living or nursing facility. Residents are known personally—their routines, preferences, personalities, likes and dislikes—and care is built around the individual.
We believe residents deserve more than basic care. They deserve dignity, respect, meaningful activities, good food, companionship, a comfortable home, and caregivers who genuinely care about their well-being.
We also believe in having a strong team. We are looking for someone who wants to become a dependable part of that team and help us continue providing the level of care our residents and families expect.
If you are someone who truly enjoys caregiving and wants to work in a smaller environment where your work makes a visible difference every day, we would love to hear from you.
Compensation: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
